About Me

Manchester

I’m a C#/.NET backend software engineer with nearly three years’ experience in financial services. I delivered client-requested features and changes for an investment management platform’s Order Management System. I also built an internal RAG chatbot using Amazon Bedrock to make documentation easier to find, and migrated our monitoring, logging and alerting from Grafana, Prometheus and Loki to Splunk Observability Cloud, with Terraform-managed alerts to detect critical incidents earlier.

I’m especially interested in distributed systems, observability and chaos engineering. I co-authored a short paper titled “Swarm Storm: An Automated Chaos Tool for Docker Swarm Applications”, and presented the accompanying poster at HPDC 2024 in Pisa.

I’m currently looking for my next engineering role in the Manchester area, and I’m open to opportunities both in and outside financial services.

Outside of work, I play the trumpet in a couple of bands and enjoy running, swimming and the gym.
